The third step requires a bit of manual labor. Using a ratchet and a 5/8 inch socket, remove the bolt you have just sprayed the penetrating lubricant on.

Fourth, attach the Dodge step bars brackets onto the bolt by simply sliding the bolt to the bracket hole. Then reattach the bots with the mount bushings of your truck and tighten, but not all the way, using the ratchet. Make sure that the mount bushings are aligned as properly as possible and it is not twisting against the frame of your truck.
