Choosing the Right Church that is Suitable for You

October 29th, 2011 at 6:38

Choosing the right church that is suitable for the whole family is not that easy. There are some people who are not comfortable with the pastor, the church leaders, and with other members of the congregation. There are also people who like traditional hymns sang inside the church instead of the newer lively numbers. Still there are also others who dislike long and boring sermons, and also those witness statements related by members of the congregation in front of many people while the church service is going on.

Different churches offer diverse order of their church service, like the ones offered by the Assembly of God churches in Lexington KY. These changes depend on which church you have visited. In some churches, there is more hymn singing for praise and worship and less ritual. There are also others that are full of ritual, but few hymns are being sung. In some churches, the burning of incense and wearing of fancy dresses are not allowed.

There are some people belonging to the Greek Orthodox Church but really belong to the Church of Jesus. No matter what your denomination is, whether you are a Baptist, a Pentecostal, or a member of the Assembly of God churches in Lexington KY; all of us believe in the only one Church of Jesus. Nowadays, we are aware that there are many different denominations though some people get upset about that.

What is commonly observed is that the Baptists disagree with the Methodists, and the Methodists disagree with the Pentecostals, while the other members of different denominations mock those they disagree with. However, no difference can be seen to our faith as long as we come to understand that Jesus is our Savior, our King, and the Son of God. He also preached about the coming of a spiritual kingdom where we can take part of, if we only have faith and believe in Him.

What most people feel is that each of the church they belong to is the true church. They believe that they are the ones who are the chosen ones of God who can enter His kingdom. There are also some people who feel special since they believe that they belong to the oldest church built here on earth. However, even if this is our feeling, it does not mean that we are special but only different. This does not matter much but what is vital is that we know what kind of Christian we are. It is the church that we go to, like the Assembly of God churches in Lexington; that will influence us; but the only person we need to embrace with our faith is Jesus Himself.
